New Volkswagen Polo is the European Car of the Year 2010. It won with 347 points, right behind was Toyota iQ with 337 points. On the third spot landed Opel/Vauxhall Astra with 221 points.
Its hard to believe, but it is only the second time VW has won the price in the 45 year history of the event. VW sister company Audi has won it also twice(in 1973 for the 1973 Audi 80 and in 1983 for the Audi 100).
New addition to the VW family, Porsche has won it once in 1978 for Porsche 928.
