Last week we reported about a new partnership between VW and Suzuki. With this partnership VW buys a 20% share in Suzuki with rumored plans to increase it very shortly to over 30%.
Now new reports indicate that VW and Suzuki are already planning a new affordable small car for the Indian market. Looks like they are not wasting any time at all and VW is doing everything to become the world’s biggest automaker.
According to Economic Times, this new small car that will potentially replace the best-selling Alto model – currently produced by Maruti Suzuki.
This new vehicle will be priced in the $4,000-5,000 range – which puts the new small car considerably lower than VW’s Up, which is priced at $8,000.
