Videos: 2010 E89 BMW Z4 (German pricing added)

In addition to all the official details and images, we now have first videos of the new Z4. As you already know by now there will be three engine variants: sDrive23i, sDrive30i and sDrive35i.

The videos below show the sDrive35i driving with open hardtop and closed hardtop. What’s probably most interesting is that BMW has also announced pricing for the new Z4. Even though the prices are for the German market, they give us a good comparison with the previous model.

2009 BMW Z4 base prices in Germany:

* BMW Z4 sDrive23i (204 bhp) = 35,900 - euros - 48,071 USD
* BMW Z4 sDrive30i (258 bhp) = 42,900 - euros - 57,445 USD
* BMW Z4 sDrive35i (306 bhp) = 47,450 - euros - 63,537 USD

Previous generation E85 Z4 base prices in Germany:

* BMW E85 Z4 2.0i (150HP) = €29,900 - euros - 40,037 USD
* BMW E85 Z4 2.5i (177HP) = €32,900 - euros - 44,054 USD
* BMW E85 Z4 2.5si (218HP) = €35,900 - euros - 48,071 USD
* BMW E85 Z4 3.0si (265HP) = €42,250 - euros - 56,574 USD

Upward change in pricing should not come as a surprise as the new Z4 with its hardtop surely differs from the previous Z4.

As BMW Z4 mainly competes with the Mercedes-Benz SLK, then we have the SLK pricing(German) here as well:

* 200K (184HP) = 36,500 -euros -48,875 USD
* 280 (231HP) = 41,860 - euros - 56,052 USD
* 350 (305HP) = 46,975 - euros - 62,901 USD
