This here is a preview to a Subaru Forester based rally car for the 2010 Dakar Rally. Barattero Motorsport and YPF Elaion with some help from Subaru are behind this desert beast.
With the actualy Forester this rally car has not much in common. Named Elaion it is tube-framed, with a carbon fiber and kevlar body.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter STI boxer that is tuned to 300 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Journey for this Dakar spec Forester will begin on the January 1st when the longest and hardest rally starts in South America.
