Video: Hennessey Ford GT does 212.9 mph in 1/2 mile, sets a new world record
Back in March, Hennessey’s twin-turbo Ford GT set the new standing mile world record of 257.7 mph (414 km/h) at the Texas Mile high speed event.
This month at the Houston Half Mile Shootout it reached 212.9 mph (341 km/h) on 1/2 mile, setting a new world record.
This highly modified twin-turbo Ford GT is owned by Mark Heidaker and driven by Sean Kennedy who are going after the 260 mph mark at the next Texal Mile event in October. Until then enjoy the video from the 1/2 mile event.
