Aston Martin Rapide is marque’s first four-door sports car. From the side it looks like a DB9 and there’s a reason for that, as it is built on the extended DB9 platform.

Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 470 horsepower. Porsche Panamera on the other hand is built on an all-new platform and clearly offers more space. The Turbo version is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that produces 500 hp.

Which one is better? Hard to tell as Rapide costs more and also is more exclusive. Panamera on the other hand with four wheel drive clearly offers better all year round driving with more space and better performance. Plus it is half the price of a Rapide. Clearly seems a better car, but for some reason Autocar thinks Rapide is better.
