We have brought you spy shots of the upcoming BMW X5 M since last summer. This time the M version of the X5 was spotted winter testing in Sweden. So far all the models spotted have been in black, but this time the car is in blue. IF we are correct it is the BMW’s Le Mans Blue.
Camouflage is still hiding huge air intakes and side vents. On the rear we can see the quad exhaust tips.

BMW X5 M(or not) spotted by our reader in Bünde, Germany
Right before the holidays BMW released a teaser video of the X5 M. Now it almost looked like our reader Mr. Jay has spotted the X5 M in Bünde, Germany.
Thankfully he had his iPhone ready and took few shots of the front and rear. You can clearly see the twin exhaust pipes that are integrated into the rear bumper. Front looks exactly the same as on the X5 M Sport Package.
According to Jay the car had M style steering wheel and gear shifter(very likely just the same like you get with the Sport Package).
BMW X5 M testing video
We brought you first spy photos of the X5 M already back in June. For a while it was not sure is BMW really going to use the M badge on the SUV. Now it is clear as BMW has confirmed it and has also released first video of the X5 M.
There is no official word on the engine, but as we have reported earlier, power will very likely come from either a 5.0-liter V10 with 507 hp(found in the M5 and M6) or 4.4-liter V8 with around 400 hp found in the X6 xDrive50i.
Clone wins over BMW, only in the court though!
The year 2007 saw a legal battle between BMW and Chinese car maker Shuanghuan. Apparently, the Chinese automobile firm has introduced an SUV which bears striking resemblance to BMW’s X5.
By the looks of it, the CEO seems to be quite similar to the popular X5 and BMW was quite shocked to spot an X5 lurking around Europe with Chinese badges!

BMW X5M Twin Turbo Engine spotted?

For a while there have been rumors that BMW is working on a new X5M prototype. From pictures taken by our photographer in Germany we can not tell much, as the engine is covered, but it seems that the engine is twin-turbocharged. Most likely it is not the 3.0-liter twin turbo engine, but something larger.
We still can not confirm is this new X5 going to have M badge or not, but with pictures we surely have more information that something besides rumors is going on.
