SsangYong C200 Eco & Aero concepts debut at the Seoul Motor Show
In December it seemed that SsangYong is history as the company shut down temporarily. They were not unable to clear even December’s payroll, and halted all operations by shutting down its manufacturing plants.
Looks like the company still functions as at the Seoul Motor Show they introduced two new versions of the C200 Concept with three power choices.
Ssangyong shuts down with hundred billion debt
Korea’s smallest manufacturer, which had a strong collaboration with Mercedes Benz, (salvaging all the latter’s old technology), and was always at the ‘forefront’ of automotive design; with notable examples such as the Ssangyong Actyon coupe SUV that debuted almost 2 years ahead of the ‘World’s First’ Coupe SUV.
It’s now confirmed that Ssangyong had packed up, amidst the increasingly difficult financial turmoil, with 100 billion WON in debt ($77 million USD), Ssangyong was unable to clear even December’s payroll, and to halt all operations by shutting down its manufacturing plants.

Facelifted SsangYong Actyon spotted in Spain
SsangYong is testing a facelifted Actyon in Sierra Nevada, Spain. It seems that the coupe style SUV’s are the next big thing. At least different automakers think so. BMW’s X6 is quit popular and the rumor is that even Acura is working on its own SAV(Sport Activity Vehicle).
At first looking at the front we thought it is a Kyron going through a facelift. But once you see the rear and side it is clear it is the Actyon.
