Renault launches sporty Clio S
In addition to the hot Renaultsport model range, Renault is also offering sporty look and feel to the core Clio range with the launch of a new ‘S’ version.
Main visual highlights are white 16-inch ‘Polar’ alloy wheels, white front bumper insert and white ‘GT’ rear spoiler, white racing stripes with an ‘S’ incorporated into each band. Completing the package, are extra tinted rear windows and tailgate for a truly contemporary look.
Renault Twingo Gordini R.S. hot hatch unveiled
Few weeks ago Renault announced that they are bringing back the legendary Gordini badge for its high performance hatches. First car to receive the Gordini badge is the tiny Twingo.
Called Twingo Gordini R.S. it looks like a lot of fun. 1.6-liter engine produces 133 horsepower which should be plenty for this small city car.
Renault Revives legendary Gordini Name
Amédée Gordini, developed almost 200,000 Renault vehicles over a 20-year period. Gordini also achieved some of the brand’s greatest sporting achievements in the 1960s.
Now Renault is reviving this legendary name, which will be added to the Renault Sport range. Soon we can see these little blue bombshells with two white stripes back on the streets.
Twingo V8 Trophy - not your average city car!
First generation Renault Twingo is a base for this beast by French tuner Nazareth. Called Twingo V8 Trophy it features a mid-mounted 3.5-liter Range Rover V8 that produces over 180 horsepower.
There are no rear seats as you can see in the photos below. Just a shiny V8 that sends the power to rear wheels via 5-speed manual gearbox.
New Mégane Renaultsport 250 priced from £21,995 in UK
Renault has announced pricing for the new Megane RS 250. Prices in UK start for the Mégane Renaultsport 250 Cup from £21,995 (€23,950) on the road, while the standard model with more equipment starts at £22,995 (€25,000).
Renault UK will be taking orders from November 1st with deliveries starting in January 2010.
RENAULTSPORT Twingo 133 Cup priced from £11,795 in UK
Renault is producing some of the hottest little hatchbacks. In the spring they launched a Clio RS 200 and now are introducing a “Cup” version of the tiny Twingo RS 133.
Twingo RS 133 Cup provides focused driving experience with less equipment and a little lower price compared to the standard RS 133.
Renault unveils Dacia Sandero Stepway
Dacia is a Romanian car manufacturer that is a subsidiary of the French carmaker Renault since 1999. They build low cost cars, which sell quite well in the eastern part of Europe.
Yesterday at the Barcelona Motor Show Renault introduced a new model called Dacia Sandero Stepway.
French Renault is interested in Saturn and Chinese Geely in Saab
We reported on Tuesday that one of the potential buyers for Saturn is Penske Automotive Group. Even though GM does not see much value in this brand there are plenty of companies who want to buy it from General Motors.
Just like Chrysler might be saved by Italian Fiat, there is now a high chance that Saturn will be saved by French brand Renault. Looks like European automakers are very interested in the big American market.
Renault announces UK pricing for the new Clio RS 200
New Clio RS 200 will be launched in the UK on 15th of May.
This little sporty hatchback has 200 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine. It has only 3 more horsepower than the last generation Clio RS 197, but it is lighter and with better aerodynamics.
Renault Twingo CC spotted winter testing in Sweden
Earlier it was speculated that Renault Twingo CC (Coupe Cabriolet) will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Unfortunately not.
Looks like Renault engineers still have some testing to do as the car was spotted in Sweden with heavy disguise.

First time we showed you spy shots of the 2009 Scenic III was back in September when it was doing hot weather tests in Southern Europe.
After all these months the car still wears heavy camouflage and has now been spotted doing cold weather testing in the Arctic Circle.
The facelifted Clio stuck its nose out
Some lucky bastard has managed to get a look at the facelifted look of the III generation Renault Clio. The place and time is not known but the picture is already surfing the waves of the internet.
The Clio III facelift includes an almost completely new front end – new lamps, bumpers, air intakes, grill. The side moldings are now body-colored and the interior materials are of a higher quality.
So the new Clio will be even more comfortable and friendly than the old one. It will be presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March along with the Clio Sport Tourer.
Two more to the grid: Renault and Williams
This morning at the Algarve circuit in Portugal Renault F1 and Williams F1 both revealed their new cars for the upcoming Formula One season. These debuts kick off a week of testing at the Portuguese circuit. Both cars look different than last year due to the major rule changes implemented in the sport this year.
Williams is running an interim livery, while Renault’s new livery includes new sponsor Total, supplier of fuels to the French team.

2010 Renault Megane Grandtour spied in snowy Sweden
Renault has already introduced the third-generation Megane hatchback and the Coupe. Now the five door wagon, which Renault calls Grandtour has been spotted in Northern Scandinavia wearing heavy disguise.
Even though the cars spotted had heavy disguise we can tell by the lower roofline, that it will continue the same sportier design we have already seen on the new coupe and 5-door hatchback.

2009 Renault Megane (RS) Sport spotted
Renault unveiled the all new Megane Coupe at this years Paris Motor Show.
Now the performance version of the Megane has been spotted in Germany with French license plates, heading to the Nürburgring. New Megan RS will use the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that makes at least 225 hp.
On the car spotted you can already see the big Brembo brakes and the central exhaust.
