GM releases Opel Ampera teaser for Geneva Motor Show
Those of you who follow us daily have already seen the spy photos of the 2011 Opel Ampera that was spotted on a photo shoot. The car had no disguise and gave us a very good view of what to expect.
Today GM released a first teaser image of the European version of Chevy Volt that will be called Opel Ampera in the mainland of Europe and Vauxhall Ampera in the UK.
First Fisker Karma commercial aired during the Oscars
Fisker Karma is slated to roll of the assembly lines in Finland end of the year with sales starting soon after. So far Fisker Automotive has received 1,300 orders for this luxury plug-in hybrid.
On Sunday Fisker aired a first 60-second commercial during the Academy Awards gala on Los Angeles television station KTLA.
Chrysler shows it’s first plug-in hybrid concept
Chrysler is a kind of Titanic of our days. They are permanently in trouble. While American government tries to save this company from bankruptcy and liquidation, engineers and designers do their work.
This time they’ve made a big surprise when unexpectedly presented new 200C EV concept on Detroit auto show. However, this handsome sedan is just a design and technology integration exercise as Chrysler’s officials stated. It means we will not see this car on streets this year, nor this is a replacement for ugly Sebring.

First images and details of the production Fisker Karma released
Fisker Automotive today announced that its first production car, the Fisker Karma, will be showcased at the 2009 North American International Auto Show.
With only minor design enhancements made to the exterior of the vehicle, the production Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid retains the extreme proportions and beautiful sculpture of the January 2008 Karma show car.
With a base price of $87,900 (USD), the Fisker Karma is scheduled to begin delivery in November 2009.

Europeans will see the Opel badged Volt before Americans
Yesterday GM announced all the details on Chevy Volt expect the price and exact dates when the car hits the dealerships. Production is scheduled to begin late 2010 for models in the United States. Earlier GM has confirmed that Volt will be badged as Opel and Vauxhall in Europe.
Now there are some good news for Europeans as GM wants the Opel/Vauxhall to be seen as a technologically advanced brand in Europe.
