New Opel Corsa ecoFLEX consumes only 3.7 liters per 100 km/m (71.3 mpg)

corsa-ecoflex-1 From January new Opel Corsa ecoFLEX will go on sale. This little hatchback is all about fuel efficiency. Power comes from a 1.3-liter CDTI turbo diesel that produces 95 horsepower and uses only 3.7 liters of fuel to travel 100 km, releaseing just 98g/km of CO2 on the three door version.

Compared to the previous generation model it is about 10% more fuel efficient and it has 28% more power. Pricing has not changes.

Opel introduces New Corsa and Astra ecoFLEX Models

Opel Astra ecoFLEX Opel introduces new pro-environmental ecoFLEX variants of the Corsa and Astra for model year 2009. With CO2 emissions of just 109 (Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX) and 119 g/km (Astra 1.7 CDTI ecoFLEX), the two are real fuel-efficiency stars, requiring just 4.1(57.4 mpg) and 4.5(52.2 mpg) liters of diesel, respectively, per 100 km.

Both cars are fitted with a maintenance-free diesel particulate filter as standard. The automaker is pursuing an array of activities as part of its commitment to further reduce fuel consumption and emissions of cars with conventional combustion engines.
