Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid 4Matic available only for lease
The Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid 4Matic will be available from this week in U.S. Its two-mode hybrid system is co-developed between GM, Daimler, BMW and Chrysler.
Very soon we will see the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid in showroom with the same system.
Tw-mode transmission built by Mercedes will be featured also in the X6 ActiveHybrid. Even though both cars are by a German company they are built in the States.
Mercedes-Benz ML 450 hybrid debuts at the New York Auto Show
ML 450 hybrid was first shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show back in 2007. Mercedes had some problems with the batteries beginning of 2008, which slowed down the launch of ML450.
Just a reminder that the problem was not technical, company called Cobasys refused to start the production for some strange reasons(Cobasys is owned by Chevron).
