New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced that the city will receive 10 MINI E electric cars on loan from BMW. This comes after the news that he will eliminate 700 cars from the city’s municipal fleet.

NYC will have the 10 cars for one year and they’ll receive some pretty heavy duty real world testing, something that the BMW boys couldn’t simulate otherwise.
