Mercedes-Benz celebrates 75 years of race car carriers
We all tend to see the fancy high performance race cars, but we usually never see or think about how these cars make it to all the races around the world. Surely some of transportation is done by ships and maybe once in awhile by planes, but mostly this job is for bigger trucks.
This year Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 75 years of these trucks that have carried race cars since 1934. Now these trucks are also part of history just as all the racing cars they have carried.
Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid 4Matic available only for lease
The Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid 4Matic will be available from this week in U.S. Its two-mode hybrid system is co-developed between GM, Daimler, BMW and Chrysler.
Very soon we will see the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid in showroom with the same system.
Tw-mode transmission built by Mercedes will be featured also in the X6 ActiveHybrid. Even though both cars are by a German company they are built in the States.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG now available for order
The SLS AMG is one of the most interesting supercars to hit the streets next year.
Priced from €177,310 it is avaiable for order from today in Germany. This highly anticipated supercar will reach customers in Spring 2010.
Prospective buyers can configure their future SLS at the AMG website or go to a local Mercedes-Benz dealer for more information.
Inden Design SL500 - almost looks like previous generation SL65 AMG
German tuner Inden Design can turn your not so new Mercedes-Benz SL500 into previous-gen SL65 AMG wannabe lookalike.
Inden does not care much about the performance, main concentration is put on the new design. SL500 gets a new front spoiler, carbon diffuser, side skirts, rear spoiler and new rear lights.
The door handles, mudguards and radiator grill are also painted black/lackluster. The sport silencer with the 65th exhaust pipe made of high-grade steel and 20-inch rims complete the outside appearance.
Official: All-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe
Finally after all the spy photos we have official images and details about the E-Class Coupe, which replaces the CLK. E-Class Coupe is a classic coupe - no B-pillars and fully retractable side windows.
Mercedes claims that this model is the world’s most aerodynamically efficient series-production car. Drag coefficient is just 0.24.
Stretched Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan spotted in Germany
New E-Class sedan has been revealed and prices start from €41,590.50 in Europe.
In addition to the officially revealed sedan there will be an Estate, Coupe, Cabrio and a as we can see from today’s spy photos a limousine version as well.
