Mercedes-Benz museum documents over 120 years of automotive history

mercedes-benz-museum-16The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is a must visit place for any car enthusiast. The museum show room is on nine levels and covering a floor space of 16,500 square metres, the museum presents 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits.

During a two-hour tour of the exhibition, visitors experience a unique journey through automotive history from 1886 to a modern day.

All-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet unveiled

2011 Mercedes-Benz E-CabrioletNext month in Detroit, Mercedes will show their new addition the E-Class family, the E-Class Cabriolet. This is the 4th version after the sedan, wagon and coupe, which are all now on sale around the world.

E-Class Cabriolet is replacing the CLK Cabrio and will go on sale in May 2010. This new luxury cabriolet seats four and features a quiet sound-dampening soft top in standard.

What’s with this ugly Maybach?

The Maybach 57 isn’t a princess to start with. Almost to emphasize that fact the Swiss from FAB Design have covered it’s body on fake air-intakes, made it wear ridiculous bumpers and enormous boots.

Carlsson SL CK63 RSCarlsson, the automobile manufacturer specialized in Mercedes-Benz models re-defines open air pleasure with the SL CK 63 RS. Compared to the SL 63 AMG, power has been increased from 525 (386 kW) to 600 hp (441 hp).

In addition to more power Carlsson has worked out a new aerodynamics kit and has upgraded the interior with the finest leather.

Speculations are that the new CLS will be based on S-Class or stretched E-Class platform. Either way it will be positioned below S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class celebrates its 30th birthday

The G was first introduced to the press from February 5 – 10, 1979. At the launch it was offered with four engine variants, with outputs from 72 hp to 150 hp.

Five body variants were introduced: a station wagon and panel van in a short and long wheelbase version, plus an open cross-country vehicle with short wheelbase.

BRABUS WIDESTAR package for the Mercedes M-Class

New facelifted Mercedes-Benz M-Class is out and so is the BRABUS WIDESTAR package with 23-inch Monoblock E wheels and engine tuning for up to 550 hp.

WIDESTAR package combines dynamic looks with new fender flares on front and rear axle that add five centimeters (two inches) to the width of the SUV. Exterior upgrades also include door trim components, rocker panels, new apron, new front spoiler, four auxiliary headlights, integrated diffuser, rear spoiler and chrome-plated tailpipes.

2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be priced from €41,590.50

Now when the new E-Class has been revealed and we all have had the time to analyze images and specs, it would be nice to know how much will it actually cost.

According to Mercedes new E-Class price starts at €41,590.50 for the E220 and climbs up to €70,269.50 for the E500 4matic. These prices include VAT and are for the European market.
