Aston Martin unveils Lagonda concept

Aston Martin confirmed the revival of the Lagonda marque back in September. First rumors were that Aston will create an S-Class competitor, as we can see now the first model  is a four-wheel drive crossover.

With the Lagonda marque Aston hopes to be present in over 100 global territories in the near future.

Beginning of September when Aston Martin announced the revival of the Lagonda Marque we were more than surprised.

We would have though that the new Rapide gets Lagonda’s name, but Aston Martin was thinking of something more exclusive, luxurious and truly versatile with high quality and usability and suitable for both existing and emerging markets.

Now according to automotive news Lagonda brand will come to the market next year with a concept version of their first vehicle that will enter production by 2012.

Aston Martin confirms the revival of the Lagonda Marque

Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer Dr Ulrich Bez has today confirmed his intention to revive the Lagonda marque. Lagonda was a British car manufacturer, founded as a company in 1906 in Staines, Middlesex by the American Wilbur Gunn (1859-1920).

He named the company after a river near his home town of Springfield, Ohio. The company was purchased and integrated into Aston Martin in 1947.
