Honda UK announces limited edition Civic Type R Mugen 200
Inspired by MUGEN Euro’s high-performance Type R, the MUGEN 200 is fitted with unique body kit, wheels and badges. 200 in the name suggests both the horsepower and that only 200 of the special Type R models will be made.
Mugen body kits consists of front and rear bumpers with skirts, 19-inch alloy wheels in ‘Lightning’ design, Mugen rear badge, Mugen Limited Edition number plaque.

Honda unveiled the CR-Z at the Detroit Auto Show last week. At that time Honda pointed out that the CR-Z will bring back the kind of driving joy that hasn’t been felt since the CRX production ended in 1991.
Its 15-liter four coupled with an electric motor packs 122 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque with a combined fuel consumption of just 37 mpg.
Honda releases specs of the HSV-019 GT for GT500 class
Honda HSV-010 GT is based on the discontinued NSX successor that we showed you already back in 2008. It will compete in the GT500 class of the 2010 Super GT Series that starts this May.
Five cars will hit the track in May, with 10 drivers, including Ralph Firman and Yuji Ide.Power comes from a 3.4-liter V8 that produces 496 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque.
Tokyo Auto Salon 2010: Honda Insight Sports Modulo Concept
Honda Access Corporation, manufacturer of genuine Honda aftermarket parts and accessories, announced that it will feature a new Modulo concept vehicle and new styling study models this weekend at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
According to Honda, the Insight Sports Modulo Concept expresses the joy of driving with the theme of “Exciting Eco.” With its advanced styling featuring chiseled lines, the Modulo concept vehicle demonstrates the new value that Sports Modulo customization has to offer a next-generation hybrid.
Honda New Small Concept debuts at Auto Expo 2010 in New Delh
At the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi, Honda unveiled today a concept model for a new small-sized vehicle dubbed Honda New Small Concept.
According to Honda sales in India and Thailand of a new model will start in 2011 based on this concept model.

Adweek has chosen their Commercial of the Decade (not including Super Bowl commercials) and thw winner is Honda with their commercial called “Grrr”.
the ad is created by Wieden + Kennedy, London and has an unlikely mix of cute animals frolicking in a CGI Eden, flying diesel engines and the gravel-on-velvet voice of Garrison Keillor. This ad also won few awards back in 2005, but now it has been voted as the best of the decade. Enjoy it below.
Honda Civic Type-R MUGEN confirmed for Europe, limited to just 20 cars
When Mugen launched the Civic Type RR saloon in Japan, all 300 units sold out in just six minutes. Now Mugen Euro has confirmed a very limited run of the Civic Type R MUGEN for UK and overseas.
Production will be limited to just 20 cars with a cost of £38,599 (about $64,000). All cars will be hand-built in the UK by MUGEN.
Power comes from a modified 2.0-liter VTEC engine that produces now 237 hp, up from 198 in stock condition.
Honda EV-N concept - one cool retro looking electric city car
This years Frankfurt Motor Show had more electric cars than any other motor show before. Looks like next month’s Tokyo Motor Show is no different as more and more news about green vehicles are coming in.
For example Honda will have a display for green cars that it calls HELLO! Zone.
Honda’s electric car slated for the US market
Nikkei reports that Honda Motor Company will be launching its battery operated electric car in the US probably by 2015. A prototype of this vehicle will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October this year.
The mini-car EV will be Honda’s answer to the new environmentally friendly specifications introduced by the US government to curb carbon dioxide emissions by traditional gas guzzlers in the country.
Honda’s new sports car
Once again rumors abound that Honda is coming out with a new sports car. Though Honda has announced the S2000 roadster’s imminent demise it is reported that it will also be coming through with a replacement. And not just one. There is going to be a front wheel drive CR-Z hybrid coupe which ought to be out next year; the second one is the one Honda is also working on is one which is a more powerful version with 2 x 2 seating to replace the S2000 roadster.
2010 Honda Insight prices start at $19,800
Honda has announced U.S. prices for the all new Insight that goes on sale March 24. Suggested retail price is $19,800 for the Insight LX.
Insight is a five-passenger, five-door hybrid that is powered by and Integrated Motor Assist system comprised of a 1.3-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine and a 10-kw electric motor.
Honda readies sport concepts for 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon
While Honda has all but pulled out of the Detroit Auto Show by cancelling their press conference and the NSX replacement, they’re busy getting ready for the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS). The TAS is a lot like the SEMA show in the U.S. and features new products from aftermarket companies and manufacturers show off their newest sport packages.
Honda will bring a couple of Sport Modulo concepts to the 2009 TAS including the Sport Modulo S2000 and the Sport Modulo Fit. The two concepts feature similar, funky fascia designs with LED DRLs placed in the grille and interiors featuring updated materials and electronics.

Ross Brawn confirms Ferrari engine supply
More Formula One news ahead of next weeks car debuts. Ross Brawn, team principal of the currently in-limbo Honda F1 team, has revealed that he has been in touch with former bosses at Ferrari to supply the team with customer engines should a buyer be found for the embattled team.
Ferrari has in the past supplied two teams with engines, Scuderia Toro Rosso and Force India F1. However, Force India is switching to Mercedes power plants for the coming season, which leaves a spot open for the
ex-Honda powered cars.
Honda to kill even more goodies
Honda kicks itself even deeper back into the real world by dropping in addition to the NSX supercar also the developing programs for RWD, V8 and S2000 replacement.
So the brand that was already starting to get excited about getting exciting is forced to return to the math books.
Honda cancels 560 hp NSX supercar development
Last week Honda announced their plans to withdraw from all Formula One activities. Today comes news, that the next victim of bad economy is the new V10 powered Honda NSX.
It was expected to arrive beginning of 2010 under Acura brand in the US and as a Honda in Europe. This past summer when Honda was testing the car in Germany it was doing impressive lap times on the famous Nürburgring. There were even speculations that it is just a matter of time when the NSX laps the ring faster than Nissan GT-R.
