BMW Alpina B6 GT3 unveiled ahead of Geneva Motor Show
Alpina has unveiled first details about the B6 GT3 in which the company will make its racing comeback to the FIA GT3 European Championships.
This is good news as lately it has been all about automakers withdrawing from different racing series. Good to see someone actually getting back into the game.

2009 Porsche 911 GT3 facelift testing video
Facelifted 911 GT3 will likely make the world debut at Geneva or Frankfurt Auto Show. As a teaser, Porsche has released a video showing different people on the passenger side and their reactions to cornering and acceleration.
Porsche keeps the exterior changes in secret so the first shot when people enter the car is blurred. Thankfully we have already showed you 2009 911 GT3 spy shots, so we have some idea what to expect.
Video: GT3-spec Audi R8 LMS
Audi introduced the GT3-spec R8 at this year’s Essen Motor Show and in addition to previous images has also released the first video of the R8 LMS.
R8 LMS will be available from autumn 2009. Because the GT3 regulations prohibit the use of four-wheel drive the Audi R8 comes with the typical GT rear-wheel drive. R8 LMS has over 500 hp and all this power is sent to the rear wheels via a newly developed six-speed sequential sports gearbox.
The suspension uses almost exclusively components from the production line. A comprehensive list of safety equipment guarantees the highest-level of passive safety. A modified front end and a large rear-wing generate the required downforce for the race track.
2009 Porsche 911 GT3 facelift spotted in Spain
This is something that you don’t see every day, four 911 GT3’s including the new GT3 and an old-shape silver and orange GT3 RS were taking a break on the mountains.
The third one in the row is the facelifted 911 GT3 with new LED tail lights that has some black tape to hide the changes. Exhaust pipes look to be bigger than on the current GT3 (look at the black GT3 next to it).
9ff will build 20 GT9 supercars
Graduate engineer Jan Fatthauer, creator and also test pilot of the 9ff proprietary development GT9, accelerates and speeds up from the full banked corner on the Papenburg oval course. Accompanied by a sound spectacle of automobile top class, the 964 Newton metres torque push down on the asphalt and vehemently thrust the car forward.
At the end of the four kilometre long straight, the display of the satellite-supported time measurement shows an incredible 409 km/h. With such a result, the 9ff GT9 does not only becomes a member in the elitist 400km/h-Club, no, it even takes the first place and also breaks the new Vmax world record for road-going vehicles.
