Truck of the year is Ford F-150 or Dodge Ram?

Today Ford sent out a press release where it stated that 2009 F-150 is named North American Truck of the Year at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

Even though it is the weekend, Chrysler’s PR was not at home sleeping as they had sent out a press release earlier where they were happy about the 2009 Dodge Ram, that earned the 2009 International Truck of the Year, awarded by International Car of the Year (ICOTY) jurors. The Dodge Ram beat the new 2009 Ford F-150 and Subaru Forester for top honors.

2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor videos

On Tuesday we brought you all the details and first photos of the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. These photos showed this high-performance off-road truck in quit extreme situations. Photos are good, but video is always better.

Below we have videos of the F-150 SVT Raptor running at various speeds over rough desert terrain. You can see how well this 310 horsepower off-road truck handles different road surfaces on various speeds. Looks like these industry-first internal bypass shocks by Fox Racing Shox do their work very well!

2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Ford introduces the all-new 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor, a purpose-built, high-performance off-road truck versatile enough to take on the most challenging desert adventures as well as the everyday commute.

The F-150 SVT Raptor launches with the proven 5.4-liter Triton V-8 with 310 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft of torque; a 6.2-liter V-8 engine will be available after launch. It comes with industry-first internal bypass shocks by Fox Racing Shox.
