Opel Insignia joins the ecoFLEX model range

The new Insignia ecoFLEX, debuting at the Paris Motor Show, offers environmentally friendly driving without making any compromises. Opel’s newest ecoFLEX model features a powerful single turbo diesel with 2.0-liter displacement and output of 118 kW/160 hp.

The Insignia ecoFLEX sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of up to 218 km/h.

The Insignia ecoFLEX is fitted with highly fuel-efficient Primacy HP tires from Michelin specially developed for the car.

Opel showcases two world premieres at Paris Motor Show

Opel showcase two world premieres at Paris Motor Show — its dynamic new Insignia Sports Tourer with two new engines and the sleek Insignia ecoFLEX.

Two new engines for the entire Insignia class also debut. The innovative 2.0-liter BiTurbo diesel with clean tech combustion system has 190 hp, and the downsized 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine reaches 180 hp. These two new additions complement the wide range of seven motors – all Euro 5-certified – already on offer for the Insignia.

Opel introduces New Corsa and Astra ecoFLEX Models

Opel introduces new pro-environmental ecoFLEX variants of the Corsa and Astra for model year 2009. With CO2 emissions of just 109 (Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX) and 119 g/km (Astra 1.7 CDTI ecoFLEX), the two are real fuel-efficiency stars, requiring just 4.1(57.4 mpg) and 4.5(52.2 mpg) liters of diesel, respectively, per 100 km.

Both cars are fitted with a maintenance-free diesel particulate filter as standard. The automaker is pursuing an array of activities as part of its commitment to further reduce fuel consumption and emissions of cars with conventional combustion engines.
