Cadillac CTS-V packs 564 hp and costs 74,400 euros in Europe, which leaves its German competitors in dust when it comes pricer-performance front.
German tuner GeigerCars is now offering this luxury high performance saloon even more power. With the increase in air charge pressure, Geiger engineers increased the 6.2-liter V8 power output to 619 hp at 5900 rpm. Peak torque is an impressive 850 Nm.

Cadillac CTS-V is one of the baddest four-door luxury sedans in the world. Packing a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8, based on the LS9 V8 from the Corvette ZR1, it produces 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft of torque.
It outperforms BMW M5 costing around $60,000 in the U.S. We already know that there is going to be a coupe version of the CTS-V, which should arrive next summer.

Cadillac CTS-V is one of the fastest sedans out there with 556 horsepower. 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) comes in just 3.9 seconds. For comparison its closest competitor BMW M5 has 500 hp and sprint to 60 mph takes around 4.4 seconds.

The 2009 CTS-V, Cadillac’s 556-hp expression of ultimate performance and luxury, begins production this month with initial sales beginning around November 1. The latest in the brand’s V-Series of high performance models, the new CTS-V is intended to reach the top of the world’s most desirable luxury cars, at a starting price of $59,995 in the US market.
“The launch of the new CTS-V presents a compelling proposition for luxury and performance enthusiasts,” says Mark McNabb, North America vice president, Cadillac/Premium Channel. “The CTS-V is a strong statement about Cadillac design and technology and a new member in the club of the highest performing luxury cars.”

As final testing of the limited-edition 2009 CTS-V nears completion, the results suggest that Cadillac’s upcoming sports sedan is entering the stratosphere of the world’s highest-performing cars. Cadillac announces that the all-new 2009 CTS-V, with its supercharged 6.2-liter LSA engine, has achieved a DIN-certified peak output of 564 horsepower (415 kW) at 6100 rpm and 747 Nm of torque at 3800 rpm.
The acceleration times are believed to be the fastest for any V-8-powered sedan currently in production: 0-100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds and the CTS-V covers the quarter-mile in 12 seconds at 188 km/h.

Cadillac’s upcoming new 2009 CTS-V completed a lap of the legendary Nordschleife in 7:59.32. This blistering time appears to be the fastest ever publicly documented for a production sedan.
John Heinricy, executive with GM Performance Division and an acclaimed racing driver, piloted the CTS-V through its sub-8 minute lap. The car itself had no performance modifications outside of those planned for consumer production, which is scheduled to begin this fall.
Estimated at 550 horsepower, the CTS-V is at the moment going through the final stages of intensive testing and development.
