ALMS style racing 2010 Chevrolet Camaro by Bo Zolland

z006-1Designer Bo Zolland from VizualTech(Sweden) has created a patch of amazing renderings of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro based GT racer for the American Le Mans Series.

This race spec Camaro has a wider track, wide body kit, huge rear wing, fender vents front and rear, side skirts, front lip spoiler and a big diffuser on the back.

2010 Chevy Camaro can get 29 highway mpg

2010 Chevrolet Camaro SSBy now we’ve heard all there is to hear about the new Camaro. But one thing some people have been waiting for is what it will do in terms of gas mileage.

I’m not one of those people, but I sympathize with those who are. Well, now we have GM’s promise that it does get up to 29mpg (8.1 liters per 100km) at highway speeds.

Chevrolet announces pricing for the 2010 Camaro

Chevrolet has announced pricing for the all-new, 2010 Camaro. It starts at $22,995 MSRP for the V-6-powered LS model, and $30,995 for the V-8-powered Camaro SS (all prices include $750 destination charge). Customer ordering begins today, with production scheduled to start in first quarter of 2009.

“The wait is almost over,” said Ed Peper, GM North America vice president, Chevrolet. “The return of the Camaro gives sports car enthusiasts a reason to rejoice. It’s a 21 st century sports car with a distinctly American legacy.

2010 Chevy Camaro SS photos emerge

Chevrolet unveiled the new Camaro with bunch of details in July. We did get a good look at the LS and LT models. Now finally here we have Camaro SS pictures.

V6 3.6L engine on a base Camaro has 300hp which is not bad at all. Now Camaro SS gets a 6.2L V8 that has 422hp and 408 lb-ft of torque. These numbers put the Camaro SS quit close to the new base Corvette. Yes close, but not to the same level so that the two won’t compete. If you want a more powerful Camaro SS then there are definetely going to be lot of performance companies who will be glad to add extra power to your new Camaro.

Chevrolet unveils the new Camaro

2010 Chevrolet CamaroChevrolet today revealed the new production Camaro, a heritage-inspired sports car for the 21st century, combining great looks and performance, advanced technology and surprising efficiency. Sales in the United States will begin in the first quarter of 2009. The European launch will follow later.

The rear-wheel-drive Camaro comes with two engine options - a V6 and a V8 engine for the SS sports version.

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible pictures revealed

Chevrolet Camaro ConvertibleGM has finally revealed two official pictures of the new Camaro Convertible.
New Camaro should be available as a 2010 model in 2009.

Most probably the Convertible version will get three engine choises.

Camaro postponed as a 2010 model not 2009
