2010 Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet unveiled ahead of 2009 Geneva Auto Show

Audi has released quick details(US data) for the all-new Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet.

World auto show debut is at Geneva auto show in March, 2009. In the states new A5/S5 Cabriolet will go on sale in Fall 2009 as a 2010 model year. Launch of the A5/S5 Cabriolet replaces the A4/S4 Cabriolet. Audi has not released pricing information yet.

The A5 product line is now expanded to include Cabriolet models with three powerful and fuel-efficient powertrains (2.0 TFSI 4 cylinder, 3.2 FSI V6, 3.0 TFSI V6 with supercharged technology). Europeans will likely see the same gasoline and diesel engines found in the current A5.

Only in Russia: Porsche 911 Cabriolet covered with gold plates

According to Autoblog Netherlands this Porsche 911 (996) Cabriolet is covered with 40 pounds of gold plates.

Lexus LF-A will be priced above $200k!

Lexus LF-ALexus has showed the LF-A supercar on three auto shows, tested it on Nürburgring and now seems that the car is ready for production.

Lexus LF-A is powered by a 5.5-liter V10 producing around 500 hp. Lexus has said that the top speed will be over 200 mph! Both coupe and roadster versions wil be offered. And the price? Sources say the carbon-fiber supercar will cost around $225,000. Roadster version even more.

Audi A5 Cabriolet to debut at Paris Motor Show


German print magazine Auto Motor und Sport claims that the Audi A5 Cabriolet will replace the current Audi A4 Cabriolet after its unveiling at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2008. Beginning of 2009 the Audi A5 Cabriolet is ready to be ordered, expect to see a price around 37.000 Euro.

2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet As with the 911 Turbo Coupé, the Cabriolet will also be powered by a 3.6 liter six-cylinder ‘boxer’ engine with biturbo turbocharging and Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG). The powerplant already generates 480 hp (353 kW) and 620 Nm of torque at 1950 rpm. With the new, optional “Sport Chrono Turbo Package”, which includes an overboost function, up to 680 Nm is even intermittently possible. The manual transmission version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds. With Tiptronic S the time can be cut to 3.8 seconds.
