New photos: Bugatti 16C Galibier concept

bugatti-16c-galibier-10Bugatti has released new photos of the 16C Galibier concept, that made its debut last fall. First images Bugatti released showed this luxury sedan in a two-tone blue and silver paint scheme.

New images that Bugatti released this week show it in a much different shade - in black! Rumor is that 16C Gailibier will go on sale in late 2012 with a price tag around $1.5 million.

Two unique Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport models on display in Geneva

bugatti-veyron-164-grand-sport-13Last spring Bugatti introduced the open-top version of the mighty Veyron dubbed Veyron Grand Sport. At this year’s Geneva Motor Show Bugatti is showing two customized Grand Sport models, to showcase the ever growing range of options available to new Veyron and Grand Sport owners.

On the first of the two Grand Sport models on display, the bonnet, monocoque and rear section are made of carbon fibre tinted in a Royal Dark Blue colour that shows off the lustre of the fibre. Air intakes and all grilles (except the highly polished radiator grille) are likewise finished in Royal Dark Blue, creating a striking contrast between the central part of the car and the Arctic White side panels.

Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept: public debut next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show

Bugatti 16 C Galibier ConceptBugatti Veyron is considered as the fastest and most powerful production car in the world. Early in September Bugatti showed selected customers and opinion-makers a new concept called 16 C Galibier, which is intended to be the most exclusive, elegant, and powerful four door automobile in the world.

Now reports are circulating that Bugatti has approved this four door supercar for production.

Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire unveiled in Geneva

Hundred year's of BugattiEarlier rumors about a Bugatti Centenaire are true as the car has been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. To everyone’s dissapointment this special edition “Bleu Centenaire” does not have 1350 horsepower as speculated earlier.

This hundred year’s of Bugatti anniversary model features the same 8.0-liter 16 cylinder quad-turbocharged engine as all Veyron’s packing the same 1001 horsepower and 1250 Nm of torque.

Barn-Find Bugatti Type 57S sells for $4.53 million

bugatti_allanteDr Harold Carr left his nephews and nieces a garage that contained a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S. Earlier it was believed that the car is worth at least £6 million pounds ($8,750,000 USD).

On Saturday this rare Bugatti found a new owner for $4.53 million (4.2 million Euro) after sitting in a garage under dust for close to 50 years.

Bugatti Veyron production run is almost sold out

Four years ago when Bugatti started production of the Veyron it was announced that only 300 units will be built.

According to Bugatti spokesman about 50 cars are still left. That means 250 examples have been delivered to their lucky owners. What makes things interesting is the special edition blue Veyron we showed you last week that has a chassis #297.

Did the customer get to pick the chassis number or is the production really that close(or closed) to the end?

Doctor leaves secret Bugatti Type 57S Atalante in his will

Dr Harold Carr died in June 2007 aged 89, as he had no children, then all he had was left to his nephews and nieces. Doctor left them a garage that contained a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante(one of 17 ever made) plus an E Type Jaguar and an Aston Martin.

This Bugatti is worth at least £6 million pounds ($8,750,000 USD) and will go under the hammer at Bonhams’ Retromobile car sale in Paris on February 7. That would make it the most expensive car ever to go under the hammer.

If you thought that the Pur Sang version of the Veyron was wild, get a load of this! The greed for power and flamboyance has gone beyond your average, ordinary, run-on-the-mill family sedan. Rumor: Bugatti and Bentley are working on a Rolls-Royce competitor?

According to Automotive News, Bugatti is working on a Rolls-Royce competitor to replace the Veyron production that ends in 2012. Before the Veyron production ends Bugatti will introduce the ultimate Veyron that has 1350 hp. CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen says that Bugatti may work together with sister brand Bentley to build the four-door car.

Bugatti, in cooperation with its sister brand Bentley, may be teaming up to create a luxury sedan directed right against Bentley.

Bugatti Veyron will get extra 350hp! (total power at 1350hp)

Bugatti VeyronTo some people Bugatti Veyron with its top speed of 253 mph still is the fastest production car even though there have been some very limited edition cars like SSC Ultimate Aero TT that reached 257 mph and 9ff GT9 that reached 254 mph (425 km/h).

Now Bugatti wants to make sure that it truly is the fastest production (super)car in the world. According to a unofficial leaked memo Bugatti is now working on another variant of the Veyron. This time it gets more power, and by more we mean a lot more.
