hamman-tycoon-evo-bmw-thumb1

The Frankfurt Motor Show is promising to be a car aficionado’s dream with so many automakers unveiling their new cars at that time. Along with new cars come other accessories and car kits which are introduced. So Hamann, the German tuning house, is launching a Tycoon mod kit for the BMW X6.

The company can tune and upgrade the engine of any of the Bimmers in the X6 range. So the six-cylinder xDrive35i can be upgraded from 306 horsepower to 360, the diesel xDrive30d boosted from 235 hp to 265, the more powerful xDrive35d from 286 hp to 320, and the top-of-the-line xDrive50i from 407 to a massive 500. If you are looking for performance enhancements for your car, look no further.

BMW X6 Hybrid spotted with a big scoop on the hood

In July we brought you spy photos of the X6 Active Hybrid from the hot weather tests in Death Valley. The car had very little disguise and looked like it was at its final tests. Now X6 hybrid has been spotted in Germany with a big (nasty) scoop on the hood. We thought that it was just only on first prototypes as on the tests in Death Valley the hood did not have the huge scoop.

It is most likely so that they can cover something. What it is we have no idea. We are quit sure that BMW will get rid of it. Just makes us wonder what is it for and why they did not have it on the X6 that was tested in a sunny Death Valley. For comparison they had it on X5 hybrid that was tested around the same time.
