BMW going all out at the Frankfurt Motor Show

BMW is going to show case its premier cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show on a special circuit track. The BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce will get a good showing. Other cars on display will be the ActiveHybrid 7, the ActiveHybrid X6, and world premieres of the 5 Series Gran Turismo and the BMW X1 as well as “further additional product surprises.”

2010 BMW X1 spotted in Germany with little disguise

BMW engineers have taken the X1 testing to a new phase as the model spotted today wears very little disguise compared to previous model we saw in Northern Sweden that was wearing patterned camouflage.

These new pictures give us a better view of the bumpers, lights and grille.

2010 BMW X1 spied in snowy Sweden

We have brought X1 prototype images before. This time we have spy shots from snowy Sweden, where BMW has the best conditions to test the full time four-wheel drive.

X1 shares it platform with the upcoming Mini Crossman and in size is similar to Ford Kuga and Toyota RAV4.

Inside X1 will share a high degree of commonality with the 1-series, complete with the latest iDrive technology.

2010 BMW X1 spy shots

We first showed you the X1 prototype in June with very heavy disguise on the Nürburgring.

X1 is the fourth model in the X-series after the X6, X5 and X3. It is more of a crossover than SUV. X1 is based on the 1-series and shares its platform with the upcoming Mini Crossman.

X1 is most likely to debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show with sales beginning in 2010.
