2010 Audi A4 allroad quattro unveiled
The Audi allroad quattro has been produced since 1999. It has been based on the Audi A6 Avant until today. Now the range also includes the A4 allroad quattro, which is based on the A4 Avant.
Just like its bigger brother it comes with permanent all-wheel drive and increased ground clearance. Base models come with 17-inch wheels in 7-arm design, 18-inch are optional.
2009 Audi A4 Allroad spotted winter testing in Sweden
We have already showed you the A4 Allroad Sedan, which was just a test mule for the real car.
What we have here are the production ready A4 Allroad spy shots from snowy Sweden, where Audi engineers are doing final tests on the car. A4 Allroad will get wider wheel arches and increased ride-height like the A6 Allroad, also Allroad version has revised bumpers and rear LED lights.
Audi A4 sells better in Germany than the BMW 3-Series
2008 was a successful year for Audi. In addition to selling over one million cars, they also managed to sell the new A4 better in their home market than BMW did with their 3-Series.
BMW still leads Audi globally as they managed to sell 1.12 million cars in 2008. It is very likely that Audi will outsell BMW globally this year.
Despite beating BMW in Germany, the new A4 was not the most frequently bought model in 2008. First place went to the Volkswagen Golf.

Paris 2008: The Audi A4 TDI concept e
Audi is introducing a trend-setting technology concept at the Paris Auto Show: the A4 TDI concept e offers the typically agile experience of driving an Audi, yet it uses just 3.99 liters of fuel per 100 km (58.95 US mpg), which corresponds to a CO2 output of only 105 grams per km (168.98 g/mile).
The powertrain of the Audi A4 TDI concept e uses a direct-injection TDI engine with an output of 88 kW (120 hp) and 290 Nm (213.89 lb-ft) of torque. It propels the sedan from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 10.7 seconds, and tops out at 206 km/h (128 mph).

So far the Allroad brand has been based on the A6 Avant. Surprise, surprise here we have spy photos of the A4 Allroad with no disguise near Nürburgring in Germany. And this Allroad is a sedan not the Avant as we would have expected.
A4 Allroad gets arch extensions increasing the overall width and as A6 Allroad it has higher ride height.

Audi has launched a new campaign for the 2009 A4. Audi is taking a very strong attack on BMW and Mercedes by calling them: Slower, Smaller, Less Fuel Efficient.
Audi claims at the end of the commercial that the new Audi A4 is The fastest, biggest, most fuel-efficient car in its class. These are definetely changing times for Audi as its sales are strong around the world and their development on new models and technologies is quit remarkable.
Eleven Audi A4 2.0 TDI models take part in efficiency marathon

On June 23, eleven white Audi A4 2.0 TDI models took to the start in the efficiency competition organized by Audi and Auto Bild.
To stand a chance of winning, however, the teams have to complete the total distance of over 1,650 kilometers (1,025.26 miles) with an average fuel consumption of under four liters (over 58.80 US mpg).

Double win for Audi again in: “4×4 of the Year 2008″

Audi once again scooped a double win in the readers’ poll conducted by German trade journal “AUTO BILD ALLRAD.”
Two Audi models won the title “4×4 Car of the Year 2008”: the new Audi A4 quattro in the category “4×4 car from € 25,000 to 40,000” and the Audi R8 in the category “4×4 coupes and sports cars.”

Geneva 2008: the new Audi A4 DTM

To make a championship winning car even better – the Audi Sport engineers and technicians faced this delicate task when the job of developing the DTM race version of the new Audi A4 arose. From the visual aspect they certainly succeeded: The new A4 DTM, which was publicly unveiled for the first time at the Motor Show in Geneva, spontaneously appears even more dynamic than the successful predecessor model with which Mattias Ekström won the DTM title last year.
