Porsche 911 (998) prototypeEven though Porsche just introduced a facelifted 911 they have been working for a while on the next generation model. Last time we brought you photos of these prototypes were from snowy Sweden where Porsche had a whole fleet of 911(998) prototypes.

Now Porsche is back home and testing the next 911 in Germany.

2011 Porsche 911 (998) prototypeIn addition to the first spy shots of the next-generation 911 (998) Cabrio, we have also managed to get new shots of the 998 Coupe. As we have already told you don’t get confused by the fake rear lights and spoiler.

We like the way front lights are standing more upright and it seems that the body is a bit stretched giving it a bigger look compared to the current 911.

Next-generation Porsche 911 (998) Cabrio spotted in Sweden

Next-generation Porsche 911 (998) CabrioWe have already brought you spy shots of the next-generation 911 (998) Coupe, that will replace the current model in 2011.

This time we have the 911 (998) Cabrio, that was spotted just few hours ago in northern Sweden.

Don’t be confused by the rear lights and huge rear spoiler. These are just temporary. What is not temporary are the front lights that are standing more upright and remind us the 964 and 993.

More spy shots: Next-generation Porsche 911 (998)

These are the first crystal-clear shots of the next-generation Porsche 911 – internally called the 998 – that will replace the current model in 2011.

Few days ago we reported that this here (same car, but from a farther distance in heavy rain) was the new 911 Turbo, but on these pictures you can see that the side air-intakes in front of the rear wheels are fakes – and so is the huge rear wing which hides the shape of the smaller spoiler of the standard 911s.
