2010 Buick LaCrosse revealed ahead of Detroit Auto Show

GM has released images and details of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, just days before the car makes its official debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

2010 Buick LaCrosse was first seen as a concept at Beijing Motor Show in 2008. At the time it was called Invicta concept.

LaCrosse is built on the revised Epsilon II architecture, just like the Opel Insignia.

2010 Jaguar XKR facelift spotted with little disguise

Last summer we saw the first spy shots of the facelifted XK Coupe and XK Cabriolet. Then in the fall we saw a mystery XK, that is very likely the prototype for a diesel or hybrid XK.

This time we have spy shots of the facelifted XKR, that reveal new air intakes, redesigned rear bumper and LED taillights.

All new XK variants are likely to get the new drive-select transmission(from XF). Power will come from the same 4.2-liter supercharged V8, that gets a little boost in power.

Bentley GTC facelift and GTC Speed revealed

Continental GTC debuted in 2006, and since then has become a global hit for Bentley. Now for the year 2009, Bentley has rolled out a facelifted GTC and an all new GTC Speed, which is Bentley’s most powerful convertible ever.

Facelifted GTC has 552 hp, while the Continental GTC Speed develops 600 hp from twin-turbocharged W12. GTC Speed has a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h), with the roof up. With the roof down it reaches 195 mph (312 km/h).

2010 Cadillac SRX unveiled ahead of Detroit Motor Show

New SRX is finally unveiled, and it ROCKS compared to its predecessor. 2010 SRX features a completely new design and more-efficient engine choices. The new SRX will make its world debut together with the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, next week at the Detroit Motor Show.

The 2010 SRX will be offered with two new engines. First one is a 3.0-liter direct injected V6, as a standard engine. Second one is the 2.8-liter turbocharged V6. Fuel economy will be around(testing is not complete yet) 25 mpg on the highway.

Detroit 2009: Fisker Karma S (Sunset) Concept

In addition to the production version of Fisker Karma, first luxury plug-in hybrid, Fisker Automotive will debut a concept called Fisker Karma Sunset at the Detroit Motor Show in January.

Fisker Automotive has not given any details except the teaser image. More details will be given at the company’s press conference on January 12. Karma Sunset is most likely a convertible version of the Karma sedan.

Ford’s Active Park Assist for Lincoln MKT and MKS makes parallel parking a breeze

Before we get our driving license, we have to be able to pass the  parallel parking test with no mistakes, plus answer whole bunch of questions. It would make sense that everyone who has the driving license, can parallel park their cars, but unfortunately lot of people find it stressful and rather park somewhere else.

Now Ford has a solution for future owners of the Lincoln MKS and MKT(that makes its debut at the Detroit Motor Show next month).

Video: 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover going wild in the snow

Cadillac gave us a sneak preview of the all-new 2010 SRX Crossover back in August. This new model will make its world debut next month at the Detroit Motor Show, worldwide launch will be soon after in the fall. Current SRX has been on the market since 2004.

Now in addition to the previous images GM has released a video of the 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover going wild in the snow.

Toyota to debut battery electric vehicle at NAIAS

In a brief, two sentence press release, Toyota has announced that they will debut an battery electric vehicle at this years Detroit Auto Show, alongside the all new 2010 Prius model.

Speculation is rife, but like I wrote, details are few and far between. All Toyota would elaborate on is that this is the world debut and that it is a concept vehicle.

Maserati Quattroporte GT S to debut in Detroit

Maserati has announced the debut of the all new Quattroporte GT S at this years North American International Auto Show in Detroit beginning January 11, 2009. This car is being launched to commemorate Maserati’s first win at Indianapolis 70 years ago, as well as to compete against BMW’s M-class and Mercedes’ AMG super saloons.

Maserati says that the GT S is “the ultimate expression of Maserati’s sportiness in the Quattroporte range.”

2010 Chevrolet Equinox unveiled ahead of Detroit Motor Show (video added)

Now when the federal government has approved a $13.4 billion low interest loan to General Motors and Chrysler, it is obvious that they will last through the first months of 2009.

That also means GM will attend the Detroit Motor Show and show us new models and perhaps even concepts. Currently there is a rumor that GM will unveil a Volt based Cadillac.

When it comes to new models, then the first one GM has revealed details about, is the second-generation Chevy Equinox. For 2010 this little CUV gets a complete redesign from inside-out.

Kia to unveil Soul based concept at Detroit Motor Show

Kia Motors America has released a teaser image showing the front-side view of the Kia Soul based concept. Kia Soul US debut was back in November.

According to Kia-World, the all-new concept based on the recently revealed and eagerly anticipated Soul urban crossover passenger car is more than just a re-packaging treatment, as it will demonstrate the flexibility of the original Soul design first shown at the 2006 NAIAS.

Subaru Legacy Concept to debut at Detroit Motor Show

Now when Subaru has withdrawn from WRC due to global financial crisis, one would think that there is no way that Subaru would be introducing anything new in the near future.

Wrong! Already in January at the Detroit Motor Show they will pull the wraps of the Legacy Concept. To keep things interesting they have released a teaser image showing the concept’s front.

Volvo S60 Concept to debut at the Detroit Motor Show

At the Detroit Motor Show Volvo will show us S60 Concept. The concept gives an indication of what the all-new S60 will look like once it enters the show rooms in 2010.

Volvo has high hopes for the new S60 and is sure that it will be one of the strongest players in this segment. So far most Volvo’s have been very conservative and even boring. S60 Concept with its coupe-style design, pointed headlights and aggressive front does not look Volvo at all. Only thing that has some Volvo in it is the grille.

Audi A7 Concept and R8 V10 will debut at Detroit Auto Show

Next month at the Detroit Auto Show, Audi will premiere a concept car that is very closely based on the upcoming A7 luxury four door coupe.

Even though we have seen the first images of the A7 prototype this is going to be interesting as the prototype did not reveal much. It seems lately that everyone has a coupe styled four-door sedan in works.

Mercedes will show three concept BlueZero vehicles in Detroit

In January at the Detroit Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz will reveal three concept BlueZero vehicles. First one is called BlueZero E-Cell and features an electric motor packed by a lithium-ion battery. Maximum range on the full charge is 124 miles (200 km). Two hours of charging should have a theoretical range of 62 miles (100 km).

Second concept is called BlueZero F-Cell and is a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle with a maximum range of 400 miles. Power will come from a 120 hp electric motor.
