Spy shots: Range Rover Sport facelift

Land Rover is busy facelifting its entire product range and this time we have spy photos of the Range Rover Sport facelift.

As you can see from the photos it will get refreshed headlamps, modified grille and updated taillights. What is most interesting about the facelifted Range Rover Sport is that it will get new engines.

Land Rover has already confirmed that one of the new engines is the Jaguar’s 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel and now new sources claim that new 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 510 hp (from the Jaguar XFR) will be offered for the facelifted Range Rover Sport as well.

This would put the Range Rover Sport right against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, upcoming BMW X5 M and Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG.

We expect this freshened Range Rover to arrive in dealerships this spring. Next-generation is expected in 2012/2013.
