Spy shots: Opel Insignia Sports Tourer OPC

At first the car pictured on the right looks like a regular Insignia Sports Tourer. On closer inspection you can see twin exhausts, Brembo brakes and OPC badges on front of the doors.

Production model will get different bumpers which are inspired from the Opel GTC Concept coupé that was previewed at the 2007 Geneva motor show.

These bumpers are wider and make the Insignia look more aggressive. Front bumper will have bigger air intakes and revised grille compared to the standard Insignia.

What’s most important about the OPC version is the engine.

Power will come from a modified twin-turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 that develops around 320 horsepower which are sent to the new Haldex AWD differential.

In Britain this Opel will be badged as Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer VXR. Production version will likely make its world debut at the Franfurt Auto Show in September.
