Zeppelin is not the only version of the exclusive Maybach we are going to see in the near future. Looks like Daimler hopes to get more out of the current generation Maybach by giving it a facelift.
The car spotted has very minor modifications compared to the current model and look to be similar to the ones Mercedes is giving to the facelifted S-Class. We can see LED daylights, revised grille and bumpers.
Power would still come from the same 6.0-liter V12 biturbo, that might get more fuel-efficient. We expect Daimler to work on the interior as well, otherwise it is hard to consider as a facelift.
This facelift sounds very desperate and surely is not the right approach to compete with Rolls-Royce or Bentley. Maybach needs an all new model as the current one is just getting old! Different versions with old badges and LED lights are not going to make current model successful.
