SLC Gullwing will be badged as an AMG model

Just recently we showed you spy pictures of the Mercedes-Benz SLC Gullwing with open doors.

The SLC Gullwing will be powered by a 6.3 liter V8 producing up to 600-hp.
0 to 60mph will take just 3.8 seconds. Top speed more than 200mph.

It will be shown formally at the 2010 Geneva motor show (with a concept expected in autumn 2009) while a canvas-roofed roadster, tagged R197, will be unveiled in 2011.

According to Car Magazine Mercedes will introduce a new advanced aluminium spaceframe technology which will contribute towards a target weight of 1650kg distributed 48% to the rear and 52% to the front which is 45kg less than the SLR. Mercedes are also reported to be developing a new composite brake system which is not just lighter but also stronger and less fade-prone than the conventional set-up.

And it will be the first road car to be badged exclusively AMG, no Mercedes-Benz signs or badges in sight.
