Report: Volkswagen considering entering F1 with Audi or Porsche branding

Toyota is out of Formula 1 and is not interested returning any time soon, after spending more than $3 billion between 2002 and 2009. After spending such money they failed to win a single grand prix.

Now Toyotas biggest rival Volkswagen is considering entering the Formula 1. But with what brand? Volkswagen has 10 brands under its big umbrella.

Volkswagen’s motor racing boss Kris Nissen commented: “Within the group, for sure, it could be Audi, it could be Porsche and might also be Volkswagen.”

He also added:”I think it would not suit so well Skoda or Seat or Bentley,”

Porsche and Audi both have a rich motorsports history so both seem like good candidates. Stay tuned for more!
