Peugeot is quite successful with their small models (107, 207, 307), but not very successful with the 407(available as a coupe, sedan and a wagon) and a bigger 607 sedan.
Now according to French Le Blog Auto, Peugeot is going to merge those two weak models into one new sedan called 508. Last time Peugeot used the 50X model designation was back in 1979 with the Peugeot 505.
Rumor is that the concept version will be introduced at the 2010 Paris Motor Show next fall.
