This Porsche Panamera spotted has very little camouflage and you can see much clearer the shape of the front and also the rear.
Without the camouflage on its bonnet the front lights are better to see and you can get a good feeling on how this car will look once officially introduced.
Rumor is that the top of the line Panamera will get a 4.8-liter 520 hp twin turbo V8 and will cost around $200,000. Top speed on that car is 186 mph!
Below Turbocharged V8 will be a normally aspirated V8 version.
Cheapest version of the Panamare will cost around $127,000. That money will get you 3.6-liter V6 that arrives in 2011.
Also in 2011 should see the arrival of a 300 hp hybrid model that has a V6 and a 100 hp electric motor.
Other engine possibilities include a V10 that was in the Carrera GT and a V12 TDI from Audi.
Panameras closest competitor should be Aston Martin Rapide that is also in the testing and should be available in 2009.

This is so ugly. from the three-quarter rear it looks like a stretched beetle.
Wow. This one better be great in bed… I mean, on the road.
Um Gottes Willen….
Hoffentlich ein Fake.
Front: OK Porsche wers mag.
Seitenansicht: Naja, langgezogen, zu rund, nicht mein Geschmack.
Heck: Furchtbar.
Friendly Greetings!
Wow, they’ve finally done it: a $200,000 4-door Beetle!
The SUV pissed me off. Now this hideous looking thing coming from the what used to be the worlds premier sports car builder. I think I will have the PORSCHE crest tattoo removed from my body. I have lost all love and faith in PORSCHE.
it looks okay from thge front view but from from the profile it looks ugly
I am sure it will look a lot better in real life.
No one loved Cayenne. Now it is a huge success.
And I am sure the same will happen to the Panamera.
It is in high quality, different and surely fast!
And it definetely looks better than the Aston Rapide(it is like a stretched DBS)
Panamera will look much better when released. And will be a fantastic comercial hit all over the world. I´ll take the 520 hp , no doubt !
OK.. there is NO way this looks better than the Rapide. NO WAY! Not in front, not profile, and definitely not from the rear. The wildly optimistic pricing will be the final nail in its coffin.. I would have expected it to be priced WAY closer to the Cayenne, since they will have the same VW V6 at the bottom end.
eh. it’s okay. i’m sure they’ll put red brakes on it, a slammin motor in it… shore it up w/ leather & wood. (yawn)
You think this is ugly, you should see the Porsche museum! Its in Stuttgart and looks just like Boba Fett’s ship from Star Wars.
I saw a series of pictures in an article title “A Matter of Taste” found at http://cleanerairforcities.blogspot.com/2009/02/matter-of-taste.html
UGLY!
