Porsche Panamera makes public debut at the Auto Shanghai

Today at the 13th Auto Shanghai in China Porsche presented the all-new Panamera. Panamera joins the 911, the Cayenne and the Boxster/Cayman.

It is Porsche’s fourth model series. Sales in Germany will start on September 12, 2009.

The Panamera is making its debut as an eight-cylinder model delivering 400 horsepower when naturally aspirated and 500 horsepower in the turbo version. Both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations are available.

Later on a six-cylinder gasoline and a hybrid version will follow. Rumor is that Audi’s V12 TDI might also find its way into the Panamera.
