Porsche 911 (997) GT3 RS facelift Even though Porsche is already working on the next generation 911 (998), they have not quite finished work with the current generation.

Porsche unveiled the track oriented 911 GT3 facelift beginning of the month at the Geneva Motor Show. For some people regular GT3 just is not enough. For those Porsche has the hard core version called GT3 RS.

Today the 911 GT3 RS facelift was spotted on the Nürburgring doing some very fast laps.

Most of the goodies on the facelifted GT3 RS are the same as on the regular GT3, like new rear lights and LED daytime lights.

Engine will also be the same naturally aspirated 3.8-liter six-cylinder that develops 435 hp.

What makes the RS version stand out is a huge rear wing and wider front fenders. Also RS version will be lighter thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials.

Due to lighter weight it should accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) under 4 seconds, while the top speed is around 312 km/h (194 mph).
