2011 Kia Optima unveiled ahead of New York debut
The next generation Kia Optima (also known as ‘Magentis’ in some markets) will make its world premiere next month at the 2010 New York International Auto Show.
“The next generation Optima possesses the power to surprise,” says Peter Schreyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer. “It’s a car that people will simply not expect from Kia – and that’s exactly what we set out to achieve.”
2012 Ford Taurus Interceptor Police Car Revealed

Pagani has released a promo video for the Zonda R, showing this supercar taking shape on the assembly line all the way to burning rubber on the race track.
Zonda R features a 6.0-liter V12 engine sourced from AMG, that produces 740 horsepower and up to 710 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a XTRAC six-speed sequential gearbox, 0-100 km/h comes in 2.7 seconds and the top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph). Price? Around €1,460,000.
Audi RS5 and Ur-quattro meet on the track (Video)
Audi has released a promotional video for the new RS5 that made its public debut earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show. This new RS model packs a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 that produces 450 horsepower and 430Nm of torque.
In this new video this new video RS5 is featured together video the original Ur-quattro from the 1980s, that was one of the most amazing rally cars at the time. Audi RS5 will go on sale this spring with a price around €77,000.
Mercedes SLK 55 AMG by VÄTH produces 565 horsepower
The VÄTH V58 is based on the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG, and features a supercharged 5.8-liter V8 that produces 565 hp and 770 Nm of torque.
Engine upgrades include sports pistons, sports distribution shafts, exhaust manifolds, catalysts of high-grade steel, increased displacement, sports exhaust silencers, polished cylinder heads, revised electronics, a sports air filter and a long-stroke crankshaft.
Video: Aston Martin Rapide vs Porsche Panamera Turbo
Aston Martin Rapide is marque’s first four-door sports car. From the side it looks like a DB9 and there’s a reason for that, as it is built on the extended DB9 platform.
Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 470 horsepower. Porsche Panamera on the other hand is built on an all-new platform and clearly offers more space. The Turbo version is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that produces 500 hp.
Fail! flooded escape goes wrong in a Corvette (Video)
Owner of a C4 Corvette tried to move it from a flooded barn, and fails big time. As you can see there is plenty of water between the barn/Corvette and dry ground. So the owner tries lots of things from pieces of plywood and a wall section.
Finally he launches it through water and of course fails as Corvette’s induction system draws air from the front bumper. Not good for the engine to get that much water into it.
Kicherer E 50 Coupe based on Mercedes E500 Coupe
Mercedes E500 is the most powerful(that’s until Mercedes decides to introduce an AMG version) production model of the coupe with 383 hp from a 5.5-liter V8.
Power on Kicherer E 50 Coupe is boosted to 424 hp and 550 NM of torque thanks to revised ECU model and a sports exhaust system. No exact details on performance numbers, but the V/max block was raised from 250 km/h to xxx km/h. In addition after the alteration the speedometer can reach speeds of up to 330 km/h.
Lamborghini Gallardo by Swiss tuner BF-performance
Swiss tuner BF-performance has released a new tuning kit for the Gallardo LP560-4 called GT600. The kit is available for both the Coupe and Spyder, offering stronger performance and more aggressive looks.
Entire body kit is made of carbon fiber and includes new side skirts, rear diffused, rear wing, and also wing doors that are strictly limited to Lamborghini models with twelve-cylinder engines.
Swiss tuner Mansory enhances Porsche Panamera

2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition
The Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition is a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Corvette’s first race in the 24 Hours of LeMans. Production will be limited to 500 units, and for track use, the Z06 Carbon is the best balanced Corvette yet.
It combines the lightweight and naturally-aspirated Z06 engine with the road-holding and braking of the ZR1,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette Chief Engineer. “For technical tracks like Laguna Seca, the Z06 Carbon could shave up to three seconds off the Z06 lap time.”
Aston Martin DBS by edo competition
Aston Martin DBS is one of the most beautiful luxury sports cars out there. 6.0-liter V12 produces 510 horsepower, which is plenty for most people.
For a tuner like edo competition there is always room from improvement. Thanks to revised ECU software, new exhaust system, special catalytic converters, and high flow air filters the V12 produces now 542 horsepower and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque.
Geneva 2010: Kia Venga EV concept car
Kia Venga EV concept car has the same size as the regular Venga B-segment MPV now on sale in Europe. Venga EV features an electric motor within the existing engine bay with 80 kW and maximum torque of 280 Nm.
Venga EV includes a twin-pack 24 kWh battery using Lithium Ion Polymer technology under the trunk floor, that provides a driving range of 180 km on a single charge.
Video: Aston Martin One-77 testing in Southern Europe
End of December we brought you photos of the Aston Martin One-77 from speed testing in Southern Europe. Here we have the video footage showing this supercar in action. The One-77 surpassed all predictions in initial high speed testing and comfortably broke the 200 mph mark.
In a series of test runs completed the One-77 exceeded original expectations and recorded a 220.007 mph (354.86kmh) top speed in dry but windy conditions under the guidance of the Aston Martin engineering team.
Lexus Introduces IS 350C F-Sport Special Edition
Lexus has announced the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $57,500 for the 2010 IS 350C F-Sport Special Edition which will hit Lexus dealers later this month.
The 2010 IS 350C Special Edition will be available only in two colors, Tungsten Pearl or Obsidian. Only 100 units willl be available in the U.S. making it quite exclusive and we have no doubt Lexus will sell this one out very fast.
