Sagem is coming back to the mobile phone market in a big way. They’ve just revealed the P’9522, created in collaboration with Porsche Design.

The phone is carved from aluminum and has a 2.8-inch touch screen made from mineral glass. With a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, a microSD fingerprint reader and more, this phone is set to handle the competition. Bad thing is that it lacks 3G. According to Jean-Luc Heal, Vice President of Sagem Mobiles this is not a demand of their customers.

We love the way it looks and as we and probably lot of Porschephiles do lot of work over 3G this definitely is a a feature lot of people would look for.

The interface and software are pretty impressive on this latest Sagem model and it uses a Java engine called Esmertec to load up third-party applications. With a mapping app, Opera, and Openwave for messaging, you’re pretty well set with the P’9522.
Assembled by hand Fougeres in France, the P’9522 expected to be launched next month in about 600 euros.
