Best way to see how future cars behave in cold weather and snow is to actually test them there. No lab can be compared to actual snow, wind and cold temperature.
Now Hyundai has a whole fleet of next-generation Tucsons in Sweden going through the harsh snow and wind, to see how the car behaves in such extreme conditions. These three Tucsons pictured here were nicely lined up in front of a local store.
2010 Hyundai Tucson shares its unibody platform with the upcoming Kia Sportage. New Tucson will lose the V6 and will be offered only with four-cylinder engines. Addition to the current range will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with around 200 hp. In Europe turbocharged diesels will be also offered. Rumor is that soon after the launch a hybrid version will also be offered.
Even though the cars are heavily disguised we can tell that the overall design will be sportier than on the current model.
New Tucson is expected to make world debut end of this year.
