Porsche 911 GT3 RSPorsche introduced the new 911 GT3 RS at last month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. This track oriented 911 packs an impressive 450 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat six.

Last week Porsche was testing it on the Nürburgring and managed to lap the track in 7 minutes and 33 seconds.

As the session was in light traffic, Porsche believes they can do it in around 7:30. Surely that’s better, but not as fast as the Nissan GT-R(7:27).

Of course you could ask who cares about all these lap times, but lets not forget it is the most extreme race track in the world, so it does give a good overview how well all these supercars perform compared to each other.

Sales if the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS start next spring in U.S. with pricing starting at $132,800. EU pricing starts at 149,850 euros(plus local taxes).
