Lamborghini has revealed two official teasers of the model that will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show. First image showed us the rear with a center positioned exhaust. Second teaser showed us a 5-spoke alloy wheel with PZero tires and ceramic brakes.
It is pretty obvious that the new model will feature a front-mounted engine. It could be a V10 from Gallardo or a smaller turbocharged engine from Audi.
Now there is some very interesting information as Automobili Lamborghini Holding S.p.A. has filed a trade mark named “URUS” at The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market.
They have filed it in Nice Classification 12 and 28. First one is: “List of goods and services Automobiles and parts thereof”, second one is: “List of good and services Model cars”. So there is a very high possibility that the Mystery car will be called Urus.
Also they have registered the following domain names: urus.it and lamborghini-urus.com
What is an URUS? Urus was a very large type of cattle that was prevalent in Europe until its extinction in 1627. If Lamborghini takes the name seriously we should see something big at the Paris Motor Show.
We believe that the new Lamborghini could be based on the same platform as the upcoming Audi A7.
Anyway stay tuned as the Paris Motor Show is just around the corner and all of the questions will get the answer once the Lamborghini officially reveals the new model.
