Mercedes SLS AMG Desert Gold debuts at the Dubai Motor Show

Mercedes is introducing a very special SLS AMG Desert Gold edition at this week’s Dubai Motor Show. The Desert Gold edition features a a matt gold paint scheme, gloss black accents, and black AMG wheels which measure 9.5 x 19 at the front and 11.0 x 20 at the rear.

Inside, the car gets sports seats and carbon fiber trim. Just like the standard SLS AMG, the Desert Gold is powered by a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine that produces 563 hp and 650 Nm of torque.

0-100 km/h comes in 3.8 seconds, while the top speed is 317 km/h (197 mph).

“Desert Gold” has currently only been used for the display vehicle at the Dubai International Motor Show, but given sufficient customer demand, this special gold paint finish could become available as an individual optional extra from the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO.
