Mercedes celebrates 30 years of G-Class with two special editions

Mercedes-Benz G-Class EDITION30Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 30 years of G-Class. Since 1979 some 200,000 units of the G-Class have been delivered to customers around the world.

After 30 years of production G-Class has remained substantially unchanged when ti comes to its appearance. Over the years engineers have improved its off-road capabilities, handling and comfort features.

To celebrate 30 years of G-Class, Mercedes will be offering two special editions of the G-Class.

EDITION30. PUR - based on the G 280 CDI from the G 461 series. This special edition comes with optional “Off-road package 1″ or “Off-road package 2″, the G EDITION30.PUR can e.g. be equipped for any eventuality with all-terrain tires in size 265/75 R 16 on aluminum wheels, flexible wheel arch flaring, protective grilles for the headlamps and lights, a walk-on bonnet for easier access to the optional roofrack, a towing lug at the front and a two-section rear door.

EDITION30 - based on the G500 from the G 463 series. Externally, this long-wheelbase G 500 Station Wagon is distinguished by a designo platinum black paint finish, specially designed light-alloy wheels and EDITION30 lettering on the wings. Interior is finished witg designo leahter and trim in anthracite poplar wood.

The EDITION30.PUR is priced from 59,381 euros. The EDITION30 based on G500 Station Wagon is priced from 97,461 euros.
