Meet French Hummer: Renault Sherpa 2

When you think of Renault, then most probably you think of smaller cars such as Megane, Clio or Twingo.

Surprise, surprise. French have their own version of Humvee called Renault Sherpa 2. French Humvee is powered by a EURO 4 turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that delivers 215 hp.

It is a light tactical military truck intended for projection forces. It is designed to be highly mobile on difficult terrain and has a payload of 2 to 3 tons.

It is more robust and it never made it to the civilian market like the Humvee.

Top speed on the Renault Sherpa is 110-120 km/h (68-75 mph). Maximum range is 900 km (560 miles).

Sherpa 2 can seat 4 passengers, there is also Sherpa 3 pickup that seats 2 and has a 10 feet bed that supports 4.1 tons.
