Lotus Elise on a carbon fiber diet

Lotus Elise weighs just 860 kg (1896 lb). That is a very light car and Toyota’s 1.8-liter engine takes it 0-60 under 5 seconds. If you want to get the Elise faster you can either upgrade the engine and go with a fixed roof. You can also improve Elise’s power to weight ratio by making the car even more lighter.
Looks like this Elise in Hong Kong had all the panels replaced with dry carbon fiber parts. That is lot of money spent to save weight on your car. There is also a possibility that the car is “vinyl wrapped” to give the car carbon fiber look. Either way the car looks awesome with its matte exterior and blacked lights and wheels.

It is vinyl!!! See the close up of the back lights… the outer ones… you can see where the vinyl ends before the light starts. Too bad, but it`s still cool.
