Lexus LFA made its public debut at the Tokyo Show last month and will be limited to just 500 units.
Production will start end of 2010 with expected pricing somewhere around $375,000. With such a low production volume, Lexus thinks that the 550 horsepower supercar will be an interesting object for speculators.
Now Automotive News reports, that to avoid speculators, Lexus will lease, not sell all LFA supercars when it enters the market in early 2011.
Despite being only available as a lease car, all 500 cars can be individually tailored to the customer. Leasing period would be two years at a fixed price(no details on the pricing yet).
Surely sounds interesting, but we are skeptical and what happens after 2 years?
