Land Rover’s new model is all set to launch a new model of its Range Rover in 2011 to mark its 40th anniversary. The car will be a technologically advanced model which will be keeping with latest fuel efficiency and carbon dioxide emission standards.
The small Rover will debut on June 17, 2010 to mark the birthday, but the production models will come in 2011. The LRX could possibly have a transverse engine driving the front wheels, and electric drive rear axle - a setup that is said to be capable of powering the rear wheels using battery power only at speeds up to 20 mph. The environmentally friendly vehicle will help attract green consumers.
