Here we have the first official images of the 2010 US-spec Kia Soul. The Soul urban crossover will make it’s official US premiere at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.
Engineered to accommodate an array of diesel and gasoline engines, the US-spec Soul model will only be available with a potent 2,0L in-line four engine. This engine develops 142 hp and is mated either to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
Out of 136,000 Souls that Kia intends to produce annually at it’s Gwangju manufacturing facility in South Korea, 50,000 units will be shipped to the North American market. The Soul is expected to reach US market early next year with sales starting in April 2009.
